Sociology through lived experience

Sociological Menu

Where different paths and sociology meet.

Sometimes I think that whatever path we take—whether it's hardcore research or almost any other profession—it inevitably leads us right back to sociology... and vice versa. Or at least, that's the interpretation that's been spinning in my head lately.

And here comes the interesting part... I think this happens because, deep down, any topic is an open door to analyzing social life and our collective environment. Even those phenomena that seem super individual or intimate at first glance are almost always crossed by larger forces: cultures, structures, and those power dynamics that are just there, even if we don't always want to see them.

Well then, when we try to look at reality through this "sociological lens," we're not exactly looking for unbreakable rules (you and I both know there are no absolute truths in the social world). Rather, we start asking ourselves how we are shaped by our historical context, society, and institutions.

I'm completely open to contributing to any related collaboration—whether that’s in research, academia, publishing, arts, music, you name it. I absolutely love this niche, and I feel like it’s really up to us to lift it up. To boost it, expand its reach, and get the message out there, you know?

If you would like to, or need to, cite something from this blog, please feel free to do so! I'd be glad if any of these writings can contribute, even in a small way, to your own work and research.
